UPTO (PTO)

The Upton PTO is a nonprofit, volunteer parent/teacher organization that includes parents, legal guardians, teachers, coaches and staff at Upton Middle School.

The PTO's mission is to promote open and positive communication between parents and staff of Upton Middle School. Our efforts as an organization serve to enhance and maximize the education of every student while helping them achieve their highest potential.

The PTO provides financial assistance to teachers in their classroom settings, holds fundraisers for supplemental educational materials and experiences, and supports school and family interaction. The monies raised through UPTO have contributed to programs like the 6th grade Reading Counts, 7th grade Battle of the Books, and the 8th grade Farewell Dance, as well as various other middle school dances and the annual teacher appreciation luncheon. It is our belief that the team effort of a parent/teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children.

Of course the UPTO cannot run without the support of its dedicated volunteers, led by UPTO's Executive Committee which consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.

The members of the UPTO 2023-2024 Executive Board are:

Gretchen Panicucci - President

Kelly Roche - Vice President

Jennifer Durocher - Treasurer

Janet Drews - Secretary

Sara Eckert- 6th Grade Class Representative
